Do Brides Always Carry a Purse?

To clutch or not to clutch is often a question we're asked when brides are in our shoe room.  How many brides actually carry a clutch, purse, or handbag?  The answer is about half.  Half of our brides opt to carry a matching accessory to hold their goodies and half of them strut into the receptions sans hand bag.  What do they put in these bags?

*Lipstick
*Compact Mirror
*Powder Compact
*Hanky or Tissues
*Camera
*Cell Phone

...to name a few.  Ultimately, the choice is up to you.  I love bags, so when presented with the option to buy another one, I say go for it.  If you're unsure about the "rewearability" factor of a white or ivory bag, then grab one in a coordinating color or a fun metallic like silver or gold.  No need to worry about how to get it from your car to the head table.  Your wedding coordinator or Maid of Honor will be more than happy to help you out.

Versatile Vintage Jewelry

We're in love with this new piece by a local Chicago designer.  The Lucille Ribbon (available for $249) was created using a vintage bracelet and gorgeous ivory silk.  Wear it as a sash, necklace, head band, or bracelet!  This is the perfect piece for the bride who like to change her look between the ceremony and reception.  The extra long silk fabric gives you plenty of room to play and the ends finished with more vintage crystals lend a sophisticated look to the piece.  Wear it as a gorgeous wrap around your dress at the ceremony and then pop it in your hair after your take your veil off for the reception.   The Lucille Ribbon is a one of a kind piece, but we'd be happy to create one just for you!
