New York International Bridal Market Highlights...

Every year the best of the best get together for the New York International Bridal Market. This year, like past years, was an absolute pleasure and we are VERY excited for things to come here at The Left Bank! Seeing all the new lines was phenomenal and we cannot wait for all our new things to come in! Here is a recap of some of our favorite designers...

We can never get enough of Haute Bride. Tons of eye candy filled their sweets themed space which was brimming with gorgeous pieces that we could not resist. Our visit turned into a four page order so our showcases are sure to be sparkling!

Another Left Bank favorite is of course Sara Gabriel. More uber chic pieces continue to come out of Sara Gabriel's studio, some fun petite hats, couture veils, and amazing headpieces. We are hoping Sara will pay a personal visit to our Chicago brides at her trunk show February 18th and 19th.  Keeping our fingers crossed that she can make it!

Angela Nuran, the designer of the ultra comfortable wedding shoe line has created an exclusive shoe just for The Left Bank.  Aptly named the "Parisienne",  this shoe will be online and in store very soon.  We're very excited to have the opportunity to be the only store in the country carrying this shoe.

Of course we couldn't visit New York without visiting our favorite dress designers at Fancy New York! They are definitely up to some fun with great new wedding dress designs with their unique retro and vintage flair. We are very excited for the new line! Here is a sneak peak...

In some other Left Bank news, we are very excited to announce that we will soon be carrying Elsa Corsi jewelry! We met Elsa last year at the show and can't wait to have some of her stunning pieces gracing our showcases. The Left Bank is also now the exclusive Chicago retailer of Tejani Jewelry. Their pretty pieces were hard to not fall in love with and their cuffs come in four different sizes! Small wrists will smile now that we found some fabulous cuffs that won't slide up and down your arm! We are very proud and honored to be welcoming some fantastic lines into our store!

Winding down the trip, The Knot hosted a fabulous party at the NY Public Library where we saw Ali Phillips, Chicago wedding planner extraordinaire! Also had the pleasure of meeting Katarina Bocci, who's stunning dress is one of her own gorgeous creations. Look for her upcoming reality TV series called Material Motives!

 A whirlwind trip to the Big Apple is never complete without a visit to the Shake Shack, Doughnut Planet, and grabbing a slice of NY pizza while heading to the airport! After a great trip we are very excited for upcoming events!

Fall Wedding Inspiration Photo Shoot

We were delighted to participate in a photo shoot featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs by Amanda Hein Photography featuring some of our favorite Chicago vendors Fleur, Truffle Truffle, Pure Kitchen Catering, Lily Red Studio, and Greatest Expectations Special Events and Weddings Inc. This fall inspired photo shoot has us feeling all warm and cozy! Speakeasy Style

The internationally acclaimed husband and wife photography team of Justin and Mary from www.JustinMarantz.com were in Chicago for part of their "Share The Love" tour.  We partnered with them to accessorize their photo shoot at the historic Aragon Ballroom as they shot a 1920's speakeasy style theme. Parisian Engagement Photoshoot

With our love for all things Parisian at The Left Bank, we love this Paris-themed engagement shoot. Such a fun and cute set up, and featuring the hair and makeup stylings of Bride Style Beauty, this shoot is a fun inspiration for any couple in need of a fun idea for engagement pictures. Fashion Fridays- Breakfast at Tiffany's

We had a very fun photo shoot at The Left Bank featuring our Fancy New York dresses, accessories, and the hair and makeup stylings of Bride Style Beauty. For the bridal portion of the shoot, our lovely model wore the Fancy New York April dress that was accessorized with a Sara Gabriel Astyn feather and crystal birdcage veil and crystal cluster earrings with a pearl center. To add more fun to this look we added a faux fur shrug for that extra bit of glamour. The second half of the shoot went for a Breakfast At Tiffany's theme where our model wore a black Audrey Hepburn-esque dress made by Mario Stamas accessorized with a mini tiara, our statement pearl and crystal necklace, and big crystal earrings. A Parisian Wedding Favor

One of our lovely brides, Debra and her now husband, Tom were engaged at the base of the Arc De Triomphe in Paris last year and were just married this past weekend. As a wedding favor to all their guests, Debra had these wonderful t-shirts created with "We'll Always Have Paris" and their names and wedding date in Roman numerals on the bottom. What a fabulous favor, n'est ce pas?
